We lost our glorious first state because of disobedience and sin.
But the God of love calls us to repent and come back to wherefrom we fell.
If we respond to His call positively the ten twin blessings of Jeremiah 30 will be ours.
1. Restoration and Rebuilding
"I will bring back from captivity My people... I will cause them to return to the land... The city shall be built on its own ruins" (vv 3,18)
2. Deliverance and Detachment
"It is the time of Jacobís trouble; but he shall be saved out of it... I will break the yoke from your neck" (vv 7,8)
3. Lordship and Leadership
"They shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them... Their nobles shall be from among them, and their governor shall come from their midst" (vv 9,21)
4. Restfulness and Fearlessness
"Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet, and no one shall make him afraid" (v 10)
5. Chastisement and Correction
"I will correct you in justice, and will not let you go altogether unpunished" (v 11)
6. Healing and Health
"I will restore health to you, and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord" (v 17)
7. Thanksgiving and Merrymaking
"Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry" (v 19a)
8. Multiplication and Magnification
"I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small" (v 19b)
9. Children and Congregation
"Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before Me, and I will punish all who oppress them" (v 20)
10. Pride and Privilege
"You shall be My people, and I will be your God" (v 22)
