Greetings in the Name of Christ the Head of the Church!

We are almost at the end of 2017 which marks the 500th Anniversary of Protestant Reformation (1517-2017). Several Churches and Organisations conducted programmes and published materials to remind the Christians of the rich truths of Reformation. Let’s pray that the Church may return from where it is to where it should be. The Reformation is to continue till the Return of Christ (Acts 3:19-21). Praise God for what all I could do on my part, as a Bible Teacher, for this 500th Anniversary of Reformation.

• I preached a 3-hour message in Tamil on 29 January on the Five Slogans of Protestant Reformation (Bible alone! Faith alone! Grace alone! Christ alone! Glory of God alone!). This gathering was in Kottaiyur near Karaikudi of Tamilnadu. It’s in this small town I started the Campus Prayer Fellowship in 1963 in the Engineering College premises, as a student.

• This 3-hour Talk was brought out as a 60-page booklet in March 2017, titled, “Here I stand!” Tens of thousands of copies of this booklet have been distributed all over India in English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Malayalam, Hindi and Marathi. Several Churches and organisations got bulk copies from us for their members, readers, and delegates of their programmes. The entire booklet in pdf format was made freely downloadable on my website “StanleyOnBible.com” along with my Online Letter of 1 March 2017.

• The friends in Bengaluru arranged a 3-evening programme called “Protestant Reformation Convention” on 27-29 October in the Auditorium of the Campus Crusade for Christ with me as the speaker. It was an interdenominational and interorganisational programme, English to Kannada, attended by 2000 to 2500 Christians of various cross- sections. My topic for the first evening was “Five Slogans of Reformation,” the second, “Six Old Paths,” and the third, “Sevenfold First Love.” The audio track of the conclusion of the first evening Talk (“What the Church needs today ...”) is attached herewith in English, freely downloadable. • The believers of various Churches in Trivandrum organized an evening programme, called, “Reformation Day Celebration” on 31 October which is the Day of Reformation. I spoke on the Five Slogans of Reformation with Malayalam translation. Around 600 Christians of both Pentecostal and non-Pentecostal Churches attended with great enthusiasm. It was a glorious visitation of the Lord.

• In tune with the subject of Reformation, my latest book, “Old Paths,” in English and Tamil, was released in the second evening meeting (28 Oct) in Bengaluru. This book was sent to you as an attachment to my Online Letter of 1 November 2017 on this website. This is also freely downloadable.
