Greetings!

We owe a lot to our teachers. God reward them!

We in India observe September 5 as the Teachers Day in honour of our second President, Dr. S. Rathakrishnan (1888-1975), whose birthday falls on this day. He was an eminent teacher.

Attached here please find an Article, More than Studies!, which I wrote over 25 years ago. I find the contents quite relevant today.

Kindly share it with your Christian teacher friends everywhere. They can meditate on the message by video conferencing to rededicate themselves to this noble profession. It's from the root Greek word, "Doctor," we get our English word "Teacher." Each Teacher is a Doctor who sets right the life of the students as the medical Doctors set right our bodies.

Responding to God's call, besides the need of the hour, I resigned my job as a Hospital Engineer from the CMC Hospital, Vellore, after 5 years of service, this day in 1975. My bank balance was nil, and the Blessing Youth Mission was able to pay me a meagre salary only. My testimony after 45 years: I have lacked nothing! (Psalm 23).
