Greetings with love in the precious Name of Christ Jesus our Lord!
I’m delighted to inform you that the 19th in my “How not…”
Series, titled HOW NOT TO LEAD, English-Tamil, is now uploaded on this
website. It’s again a 10-episode Series with a total running time
of 5 hours.
“ Leadership is one of the most popular subjects
both in the religious circles and in the secular world. Everywhere we
hear about Leadership Training, Leadership Seminars, Management Courses
and so on. They all aim at leadership development. So many books and manuals
have come out on this subject.
You may wonder why a seemingly negative approach in this
Series for this subject also. While teaching on Leadership, Jesus said
to His disciples, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord
it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet
it shall NOT be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among
you, let him be a servant” (Mt 20:25,26). Apostle Peter, as the
leader of the twelve disciples, wrote to the Church leaders, “Shepherd
the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, NOT by compulsion
but willingly, NOT for dishonest gain but eagerly, NOR as being lords
over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock” (1
Pet 5:2,3).
This Series is a call to unlearn anything contrary to Biblical leadership,
and learn practical lessons from Biblical teaching and models. The10 lessons
are –
1. Do not lust for leadership.
2. Do not rely on your skill.
3. Do not exploit people.
4. Do not promote yourself.
5. Do not show partiality.
6. Do not go after money.
7. Do not be a loner.
8. Do not burn yourself out.
9. Do not neglect your personal life.
10.Do not delay preparing nextliners.
This Series is freely downloadable. Watch these episodes and forward
them to your Christian contacts. These lessons will be valuable for any
level of leadership.
